The Next Musical Generation

So I got interested in finding more information out on this producer that worked with the Chinese Band, Top Combine and I must say that I'm impressed. His name is Nick Cooper and specializes in artist development, he has worked with top artists such as Beyonce and Katy Perry, and has established his company, The Vocal Corner Store.

He is currently working with about seven emerging young artists, Pia Mia, Jackson Odell, Faisal, Kellen, and Alli Basso, developing them as artists and providing them with experience and exposure to the music industry. I have checked out some of these artists videos and they are extremely talented!

Music: The Universal Language

One of the most interesting things I've been exposed to since being in LA is the music industry and the things that are going on. For one, China's top boy band, Top Combine was recently in LA working with an acclaimed producer, Nick Cooper on two of their new singles. The group made history as they hammered out their new songs, practiced choreography for their music videos, and appeared on KTLA singing "This I promise you" originally sang by N'Sync. This is the first time that a Chinese group has worked with an American Producer, and was even supported by the Chinese government with a subsidized trip to LA. I think its great what is happening here. This further proves the impact that music can have as it brings two nations together, it really is the Universal Language.

I'm back!

Hello Blog World!!

I've been missing for a while now, but definitely not missing in action. I have been extremely busy transitioning down here to LA and it's been an amazing experience so far! I'm all settled in my new place, getting the hang of my Master's program and USC, and making contacts and building networks like crazy! I have been exposed to some great things already and there are so many opportunities for me here so make sure you stay tuned to the posts that will follow this one. This is bound to be a great journey!!

My New Favorite Actress!

Soooo I just got home from watching Kick Ass, and I must say it was a pretty good movie. But my favorite part is the 13 year old actress, Chloe Grace Moretz who plays Mendie AKA Hit girl! Angelina Jolie better watch out because Chloe's attitude and delivery is on point in this action film. You can also catch her in 500 days of Summer and Diary of a Whimpy Kid, and I predict that after this film we will definitely be seeing alot more of her, at least I hope!!
